Is CorsProxy free to use?
- Yes! You can use CorsProxy to develop your application for free and without the need of creating an account. You only need an account and a paid subscription if you want to use CorsProxy on a production site.
Why to I need an API key?
- Your API Key is used to track all requests and show them on the analytics dashboard.
Why you not simply use the referrer to bill users?
- For the production usage of corsproxy, this would be possible. But you would still need a custom corsproxy subdomain, so you can corsproxy on localhost and see your requests in the dashboard.
Can I use corsproxy.io directly without an account?
- Yes! You can use CorsProxy like this:
https://corsproxy.io**/?url=**https://example.comBut without an account, you can use CorsProxy only for development and won’t be able to access analytics. So we would recommend to create a free account.
Do I have to add every domain in the dashboard that I want to use with CorsProxy?
- Yes, but only the one Hostname where your app runs on! You don’t need to add the domains you want to proxy to the dashboard.
Can I use CorsProxy on all subdomains of my main domain?
- Yes, you only need to add the main domain such as example.com in the dashboard and you can then use CorsProxy on all subdomains such as staging.example.com.
How do I monitor my usage?
- You can monitor your usage by logging into the CorsProxy Dashboard. There you will find detailed analytics on the number of requests made, bandwidth used, and the most accessed urls.
What happens if I exceed my usage limits?
- If you exceed your usage limits, you will receive an email notification. Depending on your subscription plan.
Can I track usage for multiple projects under one account?
- Yes, you can add multiple subdomains for different projects under a single account. Each subdomain will have its own set of analytics, allowing you to monitor and manage the usage separately.
Is it possible to reset my corsproxy subdomain?
- Yes, you can reset your CorsProxy subdomain from the Dashboard. Navigate to the “Settings” section, and you will find an option to generate a new subdomain. Remember to update your applications with the new subdomain to avoid disruptions.
How do I prevent unauthorized usage of my subdomain?
- To prevent unauthorized usage, you can specify allowed referrers in your subdomain settings. Only requests originating from these referrers will be processed, enhancing security.
How do I handle CORS errors in production?
- For production, ensure that your subdomain is correctly set up with allowed referrers and proper API key usage. If you encounter CORS errors, verify that your configuration matches the requirements of the APIs you are accessing through CorsProxy.
Can I see the details of each request made through my API Key?
- Yes, the CorsProxy Dashboard provides detailed logs of each request, including the request URL, headers, and response status. This helps in troubleshooting and analyzing your traffic patterns.
How secure is my data with CorsProxy?
- Security is a top priority for CorsProxy. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. Additionally, we offer features like API key management and allowed referrers to ensure that your usage is secure.
